Shutterbox worked with CBS and Star Trek’s production team to create a unique fan experience that was fun, engaging, and able to accommodate thousands of attendees daily
Star Trek: Mission Chicago made a stop at Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center on April 8th – 10th, 2022. Thousands of Star Trek fans visited the show daily for the opportunity to meet past and current cast members, purchase collectables, interact with screen used set pieces, and engage in several Q&A sessions with costume designers, actors, directors, and writers of the show.
One of the many stand out fan experiences was the chance to sit in the captain’s chair from the USS Enterprise and capture a souvenir photo. Shutterbox worked with CBS and Star Trek’s production team to create a unique fan experience that was fun, engaging, and able to accommodate thousands of attendees daily. The Shutterbox solution was a completely immersive, head-to-toe green screen environment that placed the guests and the captains chair on the bridge of the famous space ship. Once the image was captured, guests were able to instantly retrieve their photos & gifs from an event themed microsite.
Over the course of the 3 day show, Shutterbox captured 4529 fan photos and gifs with a 92% share rate. Attendee data was delivered to the CBS team for post event marketing.
